What is Artificial Gold?

 

Our search stats show that many people find our site when looking for synthetic versions of the transition Metal "Au". If you are then I suggest trying elsewhere! Similarly if you are looking for Artificial Football Pitches in Sheen or Linda (that was always the strange one, she had the first phone number before us!!). We are however an IT business specialising in Microsoft technologies to drive commercial enterprises.

Established in 2004 as a company to create simple websites for small businesses, Artificial Gold has now expanded its role to specialise in fully functional web projects and web services.

The first office was a bedroom above a sports club in Earlsfield, London. Battersea Ironsides Sports Club may not be the home now but Artificial Gold is still a sleek, nimble organisation with minimal overheads.

We have employed staff in India for 3 years and this strategy is a large part of the reason we can be so nimble. We have employed numerous developers, designers and search engine experts. These have worked on our projects and helped us price them so reasonably.

In more recent times Artificial Gold, along with the Managing Director, Andrew Metcalfe, has relocated to Burnham-on-Crouch in Essex.

From this new base we hope to build more great websites for clients, with clients as a partnership and some for us to run ourselves. We are also hoping to expand our .NET capabilities with more Windows Forms projects following other recent successful requests from clients.

We aim to become a successful IT brand within Essex and beyond.

But what's with the name?

 

Sir Isaac Newton, considered to be one of the most accomplished mathematical physicians, was also obsessed with something peculiar apart from scientific theories and Calculus-Alchemy. Hidden away from the public eye, Newton toiled for years-experimenting and penning thousands of manuscripts-to transmute lead into gold, or Artificial Gold.

Fast-forward to the 21st century e-world where artificial can mean electronic and gold is money. Welcome to the world of electronic money.

The truth...Andrew Metcalfe has an admiration for Isaac Newton and needed to get a solid brand name. After hours searching for a domain name Artificial Gold was decided upon. Having had to help choose many other brand names since we can imagine this story is more than familiar for many people!!
